i have been wondering, what is the little filter that you can put on in place of a hose the comes out from your valve cover and goes to the intake? you know what im talking about?

here is one. you will have to go down and click on the engine bay pic. if its not showing. its the little filter at the top at an angle. where it says dohc well its angled from the d. on my car, there is just a hose running from that point to the intake. my friend has one on his ex, or course its not in the same spot but he has one and i was just wondering what it does. now, anybody know? link - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...QQcmdZViewItem

 

It's just a breather filter. You actually don't want to have one of those because the vacuum created by the intake sucks gasses out of the crankcase, whereas with the filter, there is nothing to pull the air out. It's part of the PCV system I believe.
