I picked up a valve cover gasket set and some sealant for $63 at Checker auto parts. I thought that was kind of high since I saw it online for $36. I get home and checked the price online. Sure enough it was $36 You order it online and pick it up in store instead of having it shipped....the difference in price was $23 less! (plus the sealant it was about $40) The funny thing is you can return stuff to any Checker store...I should return it to the store and say "I also have an internet order to pick up don't bother restocking it."

It is! I even called the store and asked if they had the gasket and how much it was, he quoted me their instore price, $57 something. So I said, why is it if i order it online and pick it up in the store it is only $36? Are you going to change the price when I get there? he goes no, thats the internet price, you pay for it online...

Did u check how much it is at the dealer? I remember getting a valve cover gasket for my mom's accord. I think it ran me $30.00(but it was a while back). That was with the spark plug hole gaskets

 

Nah...I just went to whoever was near by. I remember the last time I got just the valve cover gasket w/o the gromets and it was like $40 at another place. So $36 for a kit is fine with me.

 

At Napa I spent like 12 dollars for the valve cover gasket and it came with the spark plug gaskets as well.
