ek means a 6th generation civic (or 1996-2000) and some 6th gen civics are also considered ej's and em1's (si)

well, there are 96-98 style bumpers and there are 99-00 style bumpers for 6th generation civics.

96-98:


99-00:


they have different fits and can only go with the corresponding front fenders, grille, headlights, and hood.

ok so i have a 1998 honda civic ex and i want this Impull R34 Front Bumper | 96-98 | EK bumper.. can i get it and would it fit good?

 

96-98 Civic bumper, hood, headlights and grilles are different from 99-00s. (look at the pictures in a previous post here) Honda updated the look for the 99-00 EKs.

You can do a 99-00 front end conversion to a 96-98 because everything will bolt on, but you'll have to replace everything I mentioned before and the fenders.

If you have a 96-98 and you want a front bumper, you can't get just a bumper fitted for a 99-00. It won't work.

So yes, the Impull for a 96-98 would fit.
