Question What engine is this?

Hey everyone...

I have a 2001 Civic LX 5spd w/ 250,000 miles. The engine was replaced before I bought the car since the timing belt broke. I am not sure what engine it is. I found a number stamped on the block: A46141376N

Does anyone know what that means?
Is there anywhere to look on the engine to get a number that tells you what engine it is?

Thanks in advance!!

The number is on a flat place on the front of the engine, beside the exhaust manifold, where the engine meets the transmission.

It should also have the "D" number stamped above the serial numbers in the same place. Since it is right below the oil filler hole it usually has a lot of oil spilled on it.

Doesn't have to be a D17a1 that was put back in it.
