Why would I get an SRI installed by a mechanic? And I know I'm blaming myself, I'm just asking if I routed the two hoses right so that I can have the peace of mind that when I drive to school tommorow morning that I won't have to call AAA because I ****ed something up...

 

Even if you ****ed it up, there is no way the car won't get you home... You can run the car with no breather at all...

 

yup the hoses are right.
but yeah you could rip that intake off and your engine would still run.
the hose that connects to the valve cover lets the crank case breath and lets out any gases that form when the oil heats up. your ac not working is totally unrelated to the intake.

 

Maybe you accidently messed up your ac when you were putting it in?



one question, does it actually make your car louder? Or...like 'rougher"? Some kid keeps telling me his does, and i just wondered.

 

the intake? if your talking about the intake yes it does make your car louder but its mostly the motor thats louder and not your exhaust but ya the SRI's make them sound like monsters
