CAI = Cold Air Intake

 

so in updating this project, the car sold locally today for $800. Get it out of the driveway.

I checked craigslist in 4 states and e-bay and couldn't find a decent 92 up civic for a reasonable price. Some people seem to think 200k on an engine is normal with no adjustment to book value. So the swap was becoming an expensive proposition.
There was a 96 ex in NJ for $2700 w/ 120k on it but is it really worth it to spend that kind of money just to salvage some aftermarket goodies
from the wreck. I could have parted it out as the skunk suspension apparently goes for around $600 new but frankly its not even my money.
The kid takes a $1400 beating , cuts his losses and I've got some of the money he owes back in my pocket.

A body shop guy bought the wreck , so I would imagine he can do alot more with it than i can. Good luck to him.

Dude, you should have pulled that Skunk 2 suspension. You definately could have gotten quite a bit out of that on top of the car. The exhaust too.

W/E though, kid definately deserves it for being an a$$clown and passing someone so dangerously.
