I'd look for an EP3 (02-05 civic si hatch)... those things look like a blast to drive (you can find them for $10-$13k), and they have the k20 (k20a3, but it's still a K).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....Okay okay.. 1 second...*breaths*.... HAHAHAHAHAHA

Please save your money, and pick up your own civic. Build that civic then you can truely call it your own. You'll have alot more satisfaction knowing you're own 2 hands made it the beast it is.

$11 grand? No. Try to find a 300zx or a 240sx instead

If really like it, offer him a lot less. When you dump money into cars, you rarely get your money back. A lot of people steer clear away from cars that are not close to stock.

It really depends how long you are going to keep the car and how well it was put together. If you keep it for at least two years, how much do you think you were able sell it. At 11,000, you won't get even close to that in two years but at 8,000 you may be able to sell it around 4-5000 bucks if your lucky. Just look around on Craigslist, you see a bunch a cars with an engine swap waiting for a buyer. I always look for stock cars, I don't even bother looking at car with body kits. It all matters how much money you want to burn for a car.

This is probably your best option is getting a low mileage 07 or even 06 Civic.
