he said offers will be considered, heres what you do. say your willing to spend 11k on it total. offer him 9500 as a lowball, he will say something higher, then say 10,000, and just keep talking him down. if he wont do 11k, then just walk away, remember, they probably only paid 9000 for the car, if it hasnt sold in this long, they want to get it gone and get something in there that will sell. as long as they are making SOME profit, they should sell it to you. dont be afraid to walk away, if he says no, just wait about a week and call him and ask if he is ready to accept your offer.

The '06 would be the better choice being newer, having fewer miles, and being more fuel efficient. Also the '02 is the better buy from a performance aspect.

It's selling for $3500 and the seller says its SOHC. I'm willing to bet it's actually a '99 EX. Either way it doesn't sound like a bad deal if it's in good condition and depending on mileage (I'm sorry, but mileage is something you should include if you're trying to sell a car).

At what miles would you think twice about buying a Civic? Everyone says they can, if well maintained reach 300k.

Just got off the phone with the guy...you're half right. Its an EX engine in a SI body.

Pass....
