Personally, if I was paying more than a few thousand dollars, I'd want around 100k or fewer miles. Civics can run forever, but if they've got that kind of time on their belt, the engine isn't the only thing that wears.

Now if I was paying less than, say, $2k for a civic, I'd prefer 250k or fewer miles.

Hey guys...update... after a couple weeks of talking bs with used car salesmen I got fed up and decided to look only at private sellers. And look outside of just Civics. I finally found a car I'm very happy with. Its a 02 Maxima SE 3.5, V6, 6sp, 4 door, power everything, moon roof, leather seats, Bose audio 6 cd. It got 113K miles but runs and looks like new. Super clean. The guy was a fanatic about maintenance and you can tell. All this for well under my budget of 8K....$6500.

Just wanted to say THANKS to you guys for all your advice and help. I really appreciate it! I probably won't be on the forum for awhile. Take it easy and enjoy your holidays!
