I was wondering what the diff of a civic Si and a Civic EX?

 

they both have th D16Z6......i think theyre pretty close to the exact same.......maybe some suspension differences but nothing too serioues.......EX Was offered in automatic too, SI obviously isnt.

doesn't the ex have a SOHC, while the SI has a DOHC??

 

ya, the Si has the b16a motor though.

 

Depend on the year and where it is from. The Canada SI = the U.S. EX. Also depends on the generation of civic's. From 88 through 95 there is not much difference in them. Up untill 99 the si was not offered but the difference in the 99/00 SI from the EX is the SI has a B16A2(160bhp) vs the EX's D16Y8(127bhp). Also the SI has 4 wheel disc brakes where the EX has drums on the rear.

 

and the 99-00 si's have a different front bumper and the headlights are different too. they look the same, but my headlights will not fit my friend's ex. the ex's are rounded a little bit or something. and most ex's didnt come with fogs. the motor is the biggest difference though.

 

alright thanks i wasnt sure because they both look the same but i had an i idea that it would be the motor. mine is a 99
