Like the title says I'm looking for a good place to buy a rebuilt cylinder head in Ontario. I have a 95 civic CX with the original 1.5 16V engine in it and it's been burning oil for a while and I need to pass and e-test this year. From all the diognostics that I've done and had done it's looking like the valve guides are bad. I'm been looking at heads on e-bay for around $200-$300 U.S. and was just wondering if anyone knew a local shop that has them.

 

Ebay is probably gonna be the most economical choice for you. I had one rebuilt locally down here in the states for $300 and then found that you can get them for $200, same rebuild, on ebay.

 

^Ebay like he said or maybe a local craigslist or shop will have one around you.

 

i got mine off ebay 150$ and local they wanted 350 for a rebuilt head so i think ebay is the way to go.

 

Ebay might seem the way to go, but who knows if the head you are buying has bad valve guides also??? I had my d16y8 head all rebuild and it cost me $200. Im not sure if my head will fit your car but it might be forsale in the next couple weeks. I was going to rebuild my motor but i bought a motor for less than what it would cost to rebuild mine.
