I did a similar race, my car versus my cousin's '02 Accord (stock auto) with a 3.0 V6 VTEC engine. My reaction time ****s on his, but that car is just so heavy that my Civic won.

random thought...just out of curiousity

has anyone swapped an accord V6 into a civic? (yeah I know, probably requires extensive modd/fabrication) just curious if its been done? I'm thinking the torque of the V6 would help in launch over the higher powerband of a 4 (assuming otherwise identical cars)

 

the accord's VTEC is designed for economy and not performance. that might play into determining which would be better.

I hope by the H Series, you're not talking about a 6 cylinder engine. B, D, and H Series are all 4 Bangers. Also the H series is only going to be Prelude motor.

 

J series? J30A1 maybe? I think that's what my friend's Accord has.
