I am thinking of upgradeing the stock 4 spoke steering wheel with air bag for a 3 spoke racing type steering wheel or something i make fit..... i am just wondering if taking out the airbag would effect my car in any way as in stuff id ike to call idiot lights in the dispay come on and thus since its NY wont pass inspection.....so I am just wondering
Thank you

Youll just have to reset your SRS light

alot of them do it either just for shows or strictly racing...i havnt seen anyone around my area driving with aftermarket steeringwheels just because they can. if they race, they usually tow the car to the track or wherever.

what r u gunna remove next the seatbelt to loose weight?... that does not sound like a good idea if you ask me. I personally would like to live through a crash (or at least have a chance) than have a cool steering wheel. again it is just my opinion so do what you wish.

also u have to notify your insurance company if you remove the drivers airbag.. as if u get in an accident they can refuse to pay if something happens to you..
