What is a zc motor?Are they any goo?what does zc stand for?Thanks for info,just want to learn more about imports!!!

 

The 1.6 liter DOHC ZC engine was one of the most sought after engines in the early days but isnt the most common donor engine for 88-91 civics today the introduction of VTEC didnt help this statistic much but the fact that the ZCs that fit into this chassis havent been in production for over a decade doesnt help either it is also important to note that there is less aftermarket suppor for the ZC engine than any other in this book the qualities that allow the ZC to remain a viable swap through all these years are its verssitility ease of installation and cheap price tag the 2C swap can be accomplished by a novice mechanic in a days work with a minimum amount of difficulty and cash
