looks good. just PLEASE don't put any green stitching anywhere. It looks good as it is. but if you have to do the stitching at least make is a darker green that matches the color of the car. I hate neon colors on cars.

 

$7000 for a 99 Civic with 177K in 2008? Bone stock? Sorry dude but you got boned. Hard.

But as long as you're happy with the direction the car is going in, thats all that matters I guess.

 

^ I missed that part, thats WAY high for a 99. I got my 2000 for $3500 and my 98 for $2500.

 

wow they totally bent you over. I paid 6k for a 2000 ex with 80k. and i felt like it was on the high end. I was just willing to pay it because it was white and in almost perfect shape.

 

well technically i didnt buy it, my dad got it for me, he INSISTED we go to the dealers. I had like a list of phone numbers from craigslist lol. Mostly 2nd gen talons/gsx. But when i test drove this civic you would have never guessed it had that many miles.

 

So friday i am getting paid and have been thinking about what to do to the civic. Originally i had my mind set on getting a stage 2 clutch with a lightweight flywheel for the b18 i have sitting in my room and picking up an si or gsr tranny. But with doing deliveries all over colorado i have been thinking i should "clean up" my civic. In other words i need to get my alignment fixed so its easier to steer. Also since i put on my lowering springs my caster/camber is messed up (tires leaning in) so im wearing the inside of my tires. With that said i have been looking at some Skunk2 control arms all around or if any knows any other good brands for control arms please do tell. And lastly some aftermarket struts to go with the Drop Zone coilovers i have. Im not sure what would work well with them, i was thinking of getting matching Drop Zone struts.

Anyways im looking at hopefully an 800$ or more check on friday, im looking to keep about 300 or so for gas to last the next 2 weeks til i get paid again and other misc. things. So my budget for all this would be about 500 ish dollars, sooo let the suggestion begin! o and also if any knows any good HID kits for around 150 or so.

 

Alignment is a good idea. Camber will not ruin tires, Toe will. Alignments will cure that.

Try and find some struts that are dampening adjustable. $300 for gas... jeez.. You did say you were a driver though.

Check out retro-solutions.com for HIDs. They have the kits for HID lo and high beams. I'm not a fan of the cheapo kits on ebay.

 

^ Ghost is right, toe is the real killer. Camber doesnt' wear on tires nearly as quick as toe, I know people who have run 2"+ drops without camber kits and their tires are fine. But if you are set on camber kits, get Blox. They are by far he best brand for the price. They are basicaly Skunk2 without the price, I recoment buying a Blox product for anything you need they make. Cheaper than most with the same quality, I love them. And let the springs settle before you get an alignment, I don't know when you put them on but a week is usually a good amount of time for them to settle.

 

Blox LCA bushings die fast and then you have a super annoying squeak every bump you hit. And as far as Drop Zone goes, your best bet is to go ahead and throw them away now so you don't have to in a few months.
