I love freshly dipped and clean blocks/head/tranny. The shiny aluminum just looks amazing. I'd rather have that than painted. But like when I pulled my motor for the engine bay shave (assuming I actually do it), I'm going to cheat and paint my whole engine and tranny silver ha.

 

Hobo you are officially my hero for putting beer cans in a motor, rofl! Man i am so excited to be boosted, im hoping the end of next month i should have all my turbo parts.

 

Do you know what kind of turbo you are going with? I want to go boost, just want to find a turbo and build off of that...

 

Im in a toss up between a 1G eclipse/talon turbo or a t3 t4 turbo. I have a buddy who has a fully built talon making like 700ish to the wheels, he knows alot and thinks i should go t3 t4 and that id be more happy with it. So im leaning towards the t3 t4 but still a toss up lol.

 

The only thing I hate with DSM turbos are dealing with bolting them up. They are so easy to find and cheap though. And t3/t4s are expensive, unless you go ebay haha. My friends philsophy is buy ebay turbos and just run em til they die, and buy another one for how cheap they are.

I need to get some decent picsssss but I hate how my car looks right now.

1. Black bumpers and lips looks stupid
2. No fricken rims yet. Should be getting some Rota C10s once this kid off carigs gets some steelies. He's like 16 and doesn't know anything, pretty much got the rims with the car.

 

black lips arent too bad. If you had your bumpers painted you could do what i did and rock black front and rear lips and then paint your side skirts black. I did this when i had my rims black, looked pretty good imo. But i do like the same color as the car look the best.

But last night i started putting my motor together, went really smooth. Im waiting til friday to put the pistons and rods in and will prolly get my oil pan tapped and get a gasket. Anyways the rods cleared both on the block and girdle so i am good to go! All thats left to do is get my turbo pieces. Next on the to do list Manifold/Turbo!!!
