alright so got a question i found a intercooler with pipes and all for 150 i dont know much about engine stuff but would it be stupid if i bought it?

 

Don't buy the intercooler lol. That's for turbo and even at that you can get new ones on ebay for that much.

welp sorry havent updated i guess now that i have a serios problem ill update now...
so was goin down the road today and stomped it vtec kicked in started hearin a loud knockin noise so pulled over called mom and she had her friend come get me and my car on a rollback took it to one of her friends that has 2 hatchbacks that run mid 10's so he knows what hes doin started up revved it at 2000 rpms and looks at me and goes my fellow friend you spun a rod bearing. my stomach dropped. so now i gotta get a new motor and the only motor he has i can afford is a d16Y8 non vtec so im pullin a vtec motor out and puttin a non vtec motor in wonderful! so now i gotta spend 500 to get my car running...thought bout doin a mini me since i got a full d16Y7 head and a D16y8 block but i can barely afford the new motor so cant do the mini me. but what a wonderful way to come back to the forums.

 

You seem to have it backwards. The d16y8 is vtec, y7 is not. For a mini me swap in this situation, you would put a y8 head on a y7 block.
