Default KingDakota12's 99 Civic DX Build

Well Ive been on this site for a few years, but I have big plans on this car so i decieded to make a build thread to I can get ideas and help because when it comes to swaps ect. Im a noob!

Well here is my 99 DX now:

Don't have many more solid pics just check out my profile for others.

Mods include:
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
K&N Short Ram Intake, Straight Pipe Exhaust W/Magnaflow Tip, B&M Short Shifter W/Type R Boot, ES Bushings, Spoon ****

Suspension Modifications:
Tein S-Tech's

Wheels/Tires Modifications:
15' Drag DR-23's 15X6.5 4-100 40BRS Wheels
15" Falken Ziex Tires

Interior/Exterior Modifications:
EK Custom Floor mats, black housing Headlights, Type R Grill, OEM Fog lights, OEM Style Tail's, Xenon 8K Headlights, 3K Xenon White H3 Fog Light Bulbs, Minor Debadge(Civic, DX), 22% all around Window Tint, HID Red Dome Light

Future Modifications:
Tokico HP struts, Spoon Front lip, and someday a B16a2 or GSR conversion.

Now this spring I will be working 9 hours days so I know my paychecks will be fat and dedicated to my car, so far my next plan is for some Form and Function Type 1 Coilovers because S-Tech's don't cut it, as well Blox Rear LCA's. Second I already have a replica Spoon front lip on the way, but I need your input on leaving it black or painted to match. Also after working most of the summer I want to get a GSR engine and Tranny out of a junkyard or craigslist and finally swap here and of course a turbo will after.

Let me know what you think and if I should do something else, like I said still a noob and tips rock!

Nice to see you made a thread.

Blox lca suck, especially if your car is dumped. Mine was low as ****, and the bushings in the Blox lca didn't last at all, probably got 6 monthes out of em til they started to to tear. The bushing on one side that holds the strut in took a total dump and just gave out, so it clunks over bumps because the metal inside where the bolt passes through hits the lca. Put out the money for some Skunk2, or even better, Function7. I have to put out more money now to fix a mistake I made. A lot of people will agree with how much they suck, cvcrcr is on his second set of bushings and his are already ripping.

Blox are $115, that's what I paid, mine are gold.

$210 for Skunk2, you can find em on ht used for half that.

Function7 are $240 and probably the best out there, and look sick, especially if you get the subframe brace, look amazingggggggg.

^^ LOLOLOL.

The $19.00 is for the extended bolts and washers, not the brace.

You get what you pay for. Don't always go the cheapest.

Blox LCAs are garbage. If you really want, I will sell you mine when I upgrade to Skunks in a month or so. You can pick up replacement bushings from Blox for $15 a set (you would need two sets)

Seriously though, I would really shy away from Blox LCAs, unless you enjoy replacing bushings every 6-9 months.
