Lewy2k's Del Sol S Project Thread
The motor is in! Worked on it all day. Got it in, mounted the shift box and routed the cables. I got the heater hoses done, clutch line on, radiator relocated, fuel lines set up and a couple other things. Still some minor things to do before I wire it up. Should be running saturday.

It sure helped having only 110k miles of grim instead of something like 200k lol. It's not perfect, but I'll clean more after it's done too.
any clue how much the swap has cost you? I understand if you dont feel like sharing or haven't really been keeping track. I'm just wondering because I'm pretty torn between going for an H swap or waiting and saving money for a K swap. I just hear so many bad things about H trannys....

You just buy swap mounts for the car and the motor going in. So he bought k20 mounts for a 92-95 civic and 93-97 del sol. The mounts bolt to the factory mount locations on the car, and then to the engine being swapped in and mount it in the right spot rotor and keep axle angles right.
For K series you have to cut out the passenger side frame rail bracket and install an aftermarket one. But other than that it's a bolt in affair. Other swaps are just all bolt in procedures.
Spent all yesterday finishing things up and wiring the car. First attempt to start it I noticed the fuel pump didn't prime. After I fixed that I wasn't able to get it started. Everything turns over and it's getting fuel but it won't start. I didn't attempt to troubleshoot since it was so late. I'm gonna try again after work tonight.
Gonna re-do my grounds and check compression etc.
