Default Lewy2k's 1993 Del Sol S Project Thread

For those of you who didn't see my "I'm back!" post, I bought a white Del Sol S with 100k orginal miles. I had lost complete interest in my teal coupe and saved my money to wait for one I liked. I was very picky and my patience paid off after resisting to offer on plenty of other cars. It's completely stock but I have a good amount of modifications in line for it. Ordered Tokico Illuminas and Skunk2 coilover sleeves. Still pondering which size tires to get when I need to and also the best way of buying them (Online or at a Tire Dealer). If I order them, then I have to have them mounted of course.

Some details on my mod list...

I have a friend at work that has a full ls swap (motor, trans, mounts, axles and possibly shift linkage) that I can buy for ~$800. Pretty good deal, atleast around here. Not sure whether is obd1 or obd2 but either way I'll make it work. Planning on picking that up after I buy wheels and tires.

For the tire size I think I'm going with a 195/45/R15. Still debating though. Should be getting my suspension parts by the end of the week as well.

Stopped by my friends today to take a look at the ls he has been holding for me. I was curious whether it was obd1 or obd2 and the only way I could think of to tell was to look on the head for the year code. I found a 93, assuming that since its a b18b1, it must have been in a 94' integra. That makes it obd1. I already know that obd2 ls motors are plug and play in my car so it doesn't make that much of a difference, maybe an o2 sensor or something like that. Anyways, I'm waiting to find out if I will receive financial aid for school. If I do, I can get this thing before Christmas. It has the half shaft on it still and he says he has the axles too. Has all the mounts and everything, I just need to get all the maintenance parts to replace, ecu and shift linkage.

My only decision is having to choose between getting wheels and tires before or after the swap. Steelies suck :/

Coilovers should be here today or tomorrow. Going on the car by Wednesday hopefully.

Just rock out with the steelies dood. Nothing wrong with lowered on steelies. IMO, I kinda like the lowered/slammed on hubcaps look. I rocked it for like 1.5 years until I picked up the BBS's
