So my parts guy was saying that a good set of OEM replicas, black housing head lights run for about 90 bucks and he was saying the silicone trick for sealing imperfections in the eBay brand ones can be hit or miss, should I spend that 90 bucks? Also, I have a chance at a CTR front lip for 40-45 bucks as well as the Type R grille for 40-45.

if you like the headlights, go for it. as for the grill it might be a bit pricey since you can pretty much get one on ebay for around $30 shipped. for the the lip you can get it on ebay brand new for about $45

EDIT: looks a lot better even with multi color parts. lol

glad to see you are fixing that poor civic id get the headlights and silicone them they will be as good as any and paint the grille to match the paint it comes black but not the same color black do the same with the lip also if you are getting the side marker/turn signals cut the holes for those before you have it painted that way when they paint it will protect the bare metal

the way I see it is that you can buy 5 or more sets of headlights before you get around the price of 1 set of OEM CTR headlights. So if you get one set and they mess up and leak, just buy another set and so forth and you still haven't spent as much money. just my opinion. and honda oem headlights fog up just as much as aftermarket ones in my experience. So i does see a point in paying that much more for them.

and nice progress. looking forward to after paint pics

Come Monday, CTR front lip and rear lip or valance, I don't know what is what but yeah, I have the CTR set on the way, picked them both up for 70 total. The grill and headlights will come next week and as a package together with installation would run me 120. Good deal?

I'll let you know come Monday. I just told my parts guy "this is what I want come Monday." and he said, "Yes master."

I'm so excited.
