i don't ever remember seeing a black IM.....i think the engine bay is gonna be one of my favorite parts of this build. I'm planning on doing a similar build in the future so i'm excited to see how this turns out man. Good luck!

i love a painted motor for sure... thats how i did my old 94 Z6 motor but i definatly go thru it as extensive as you did with all the bolts.LOL i just cleaned the whole thing and primed it and painted it!! i think it turned out pretty nice myself.

tho the header paint i used was just the 500degree paint which was not good enough for the header.LOL it slowly burned it right off... 6 months later ill definatly use 1500degree paint next time if i ever paint a stock header again....

when i pull the motor on my 96dx im going to paint it also, but im going to paint it same as the car a gunmetal color. should blend in very nice and almost disapear....
i would go black again BUT i learned one small problem from black... if you have a small oil leak its really hard find exactly where the leak is comign from! so ill try to stay away from all black next time around

im definatly keepen an eye on your build. should look very nice when done!!!!!!! looken very good!
