thanks, I don't know how black could disperse heat when in direct sunlight(i know its not) it will attract heat. Yeah I would love to see how a polished one would look, if you don't mind I may steal that idea for my car.

Good luck with the polishing! It'll be totally worth it in the end. Plus, once it's done it'll be easier to clean again.

Heck, I have a hard enough time just getting the grease off of my trans.

Yeah, it took about 3 hours just to get the majority of the grease off. Ive been using medium grit sanding foam pads, followed by the fine pads. Its finally starting to shine. I probably have about another 4-5 hours to go though easily. It took about 5 hours per wheel just to polish the lips on my C8s.

Trans polishing is coming along nicely. All the degreasing, sanding, wet sanding is done. Most of whats left on the surface is just dust and light stains now. Its all coming off with the dremel now with the polishing wheels. Just a preview, note that this reflection is in a dim garage...

Thanks. Neither can I! I got a lot more done on it today since I got off work at noon. It would be done by now if my stupid dremel battery would last longer than 20 min. I plan on buying a corded dremel friday so I can get it finished this weekend hopefully.

LOL, I know. I did all the main sanding and didnt want to wait until I got paid. So I started today with the one I got a couple years ago to do some plastic cutting for interior mods. Its like a 7 volt battery haha. Im getting one of the Dremel 4000 Series kits now for other polishing projects. I want to do my Intake Mani too.
