Updates on the polishing. One more wet sand with some 1500 grit paper and its time to started buffing it out with the rubbing compound. Still pretty dirty due to all the sanding, dust is everywhere in my garage now. My camera sucks in dim lit areas so the shine is hard to show.

I know for a fact its a GSR trans. Still had the original Honda sticker and bar code on it, plus I saw the wrecked GSR it came from, all stock.

Funny you mention the block. I have been looking for a GSR or even another LS bare block for cheap lately that is in decent shape. I plan to polish it, turbo rods and pistons, block guard, and swap it in. It will be a slow progress unless I actually get the raises I deserve at work now that I am licensed by the state. HVAC is a little slow lately here so I can't just hop to another company like I could have a year or two ago.
