I guess its time to update this build of mine.
The Y8 head was putting too much compression on the piston rings. They are going. They call me Bond, James Bond. When I get up on the car, it smokes. lol
Anyways, I am getting a new motor this weekend. Scored a z6 for $200. Only problem is it is like 4 hours away.
Also got a z6 intake manifold from rc2904. Good seller. He's the one tha tipped me off to the motor. =) Thanks sir.
Now has HID's, front and back roll bars, new steering wheel, new wheels and new corner lights. Did a few more bushings. She's really coming together now.

As promised, pics.
z6 intkae manifold, z6 dizz, injectors, fuel rail.
My new Z6.=) Came complete with wireharness and all. Guy was only going to give me the motor and head. Ended up giving me harness and clutch and all kinda goodies. =)

Black is due to motor oil. The guy litterly pulled the motor out and drove to meet me, then put it in my car. lol.
4 hours one way. Tank and a half of gas. WELL invested. lol
It will be a little bit before I drop it in. Still gotta figure out all the wiring before I start the conversion. Going to get new oil pan and oil pan gastket. The current oil pan is tapped for a turbo.

haha your car was a 3.1 on the way home lol,
so it use to be boosted???? sounds a little funny to me.... have you heard/ seen motor run?
