Punisher's 90 Civic
New fenders and hood were already on my list. i have most of the dent out already.
Chater bar? HA. I had 4 foot bar on my break over. All i was doing was moving the car forward! Tried taking that bitc off with the tire off and someone holding the brakes. Just started to spin the brakes. lol. Put on the tire, put car on ground and had someone hold the brakes, rolled the car forward.

So I got that bolt off with heat. Took a torch and got that sucker red as hell. Came smooth out. Got new belt on, set timing, car kinda ran. I couldn't figure out why it ran like crap, so I slept on it. Woke up and realized - out of time. So I checked it, and sure enough I was two teeth off. And I knew why. When I set the timing, I looked at the marks on the head and cam. What looked straight was actually off by one tooth. Just by the angle of how I was looking. So I grabbed a small mirror and got much better perspective on the actual alignment of the timing marks. The other tooth had to be from when I was putting the timing belt on. I made sure that everything was straight and made sure nothing moved during installation of the timing belt. Sure enough- car ran great. =)
I still need to fix a few exhaust leaks I have. Sounds like poo right now. Like a turd. When I took off the exhaust manifold, two of the lower 3 bolts broke off. Need to get some bolts to slide into the holes and tighten that connection up.
Also I'm blowing a little bit of white smoke. So I guess the head gasket missed its spot. So I may be re-doing this in 3 weeks. Hopefully after that I'll be able to do the DPFI - MPFI and OBD-0 OBD-1 swap. Then I'm probably going to start making her look good.

lmfao. Yeah, I know. I suck.
Oh, by the way - any members wanting to do this. You NEED a different timing belt < sohc ZC >, spark plug wires for the Y8, a GOOD intake manifold gasket < don't ask, I'm STILL pissed>, having a good set of stripped nut removers is a good idea. There is more to this list, I just don't remember right now.
I think I know why the head gasket isn't fitting right. When i put the head gasket and head on, I torqued everything to spec. Then tried to turn on car < after adding oil valve cover and blah blah >. Water shot out number 4. Found a leak near intake to number 4. Thought I killed the head gasket. So I asked Honda - whom told me I needed the y8 head bolts. That the stock bolts were too long. So I put them in, and tried to torque. Yeah, RIGHT. Two turns then lock? I don't think so. Wayyyy too short. So I put the factory ones back in and torqued back to spec. This may have caused a bad gasket.
The water ended up leaking from the intake manifold. The dammn gakset went bad at the water port. Wanna guess who was pissed AND happy at the same time?
At least the car runs strong now. Turns on every time. No external leaks. Only seeing a little bit of white smoke when I get up oh it hard.
And it's a 90 hatch. =P I WINZZZERRRZZ!!
