Because it was put on very cheap. When i bought the car, it had no muffler what so ever. The previous owner didn't take care of the car, and let the pipes rust out and the muffler fall off. So I put on a Harley pipe. Was perfect size and fit. So I ran it. lol. I am looking into getting an actual exhaust system after i finish my head swap and obd0 to obd1 conversion.

So I got a question for you since im a noob with engines sorta. So an obd0 and obd1 are ECU's, but what does switching to another one due for your car.

It's both your ECU and wiring. What this is going to let me do is run multi-port fuel injection and Vtec. My car currently has Dual point fuel injection, and its the suck. I only have two fuel injectors. Its kinda like a carburetor system. The multi-port fuel injection system will allow better power.

Ah I see so your honda now non vtec and double port, and with the new ECU and wiring you will have vtec and the multi[port? What engine do you have now and why not a swap?

The ecu wont make it Vtec. The head I'm swapping will make it Vtec. The head has to be plugged up to OBD-I for the Vtec to work.
Also I have to do more work to make the Multi-Port fuel injection work. Its a lot of parts that will all be done at once. To make one another work.
Current motor is the less than impressive D15b2.
A swap is in the future. Right now I need a new head. My current head is pretty well destroyed. Between the previous owners errors and the head gasket going, it was time to upgrade. So the new y8 head will replace my current head. i will do the OBD0 to OBD-I swap too. My current fuel injectors are messed up and giving me problems. So the DPFI to MPFI will help this issue as well. I plan on getting a z6 block and building it up. From there I'm unsure if I will swap the Y8 head onto the Z6 block, or if I should go ahead and put a z6 head on it.

Ah Alright man I see ya the Y8 head is from a EX and is a SOHC with Vtec so hooking up the obd1 with that head and your block will give you vtec haha correct?

Man I have a lot to learn haha, so can you put the y8 head on the block your running on now and what kind of upgrade other than vtec does it give, and also putting a y8 head on a z6 block gives you what output?
