Thanks, Dan... unfortunately the side scoops are probably going to be the last mod for a few months until I get a job and get financially situated. Up next will probably be stock 17" GT wheels (something cheap to clear the cobra brakes until I can afford the $1600 worth of wheels and tires I plan on getting) and then on to the suspension.

True.... I only developed a real plan of action in the last 3 months or so... there's only two things I'm undecided on right now, and that's the spoiler (functional but boy-racer 2000 Cobra R or pretty but useless Saleen S281) and the details of the paint (I can't decide if the roof should be straight-up gloss black or if it should have metalflake in it like the body). As far as mods, I have those picked out, and the tunes I want to run are already decided on too: a 93-octane street tune (20psi) and a 112-octane race tune (something like 30psi), both tuned with mild anti-lag

But =[ for becoming more responsible... I was cruising craigslist and found an '04 Kawi ZX-6R for trade for a 5spd car... 6 months ago I would've jumped on it. I didn't even call the guy since it's a bad deal on my part (not having a car right before I move 400 miles).

well does your red paint have any metalic flake in it? IF it does then use some flake, BUT if it doesnt i dont think you should use flake. just make them match and it should look god!

Well, the whole car's going to be re-sprayed since I'll have a new front bumper, fenders, hood, side skirts, mirrors, trunk deck, and spoiler. The red will have metallic flake, but I'm undecided on the black roof; metal flake in the black would match the red, but it wouldn't match what exposed carbon fiber I'll have.

well the exposed CF should have a bit of blind factor to it... so id suggest go ahead and flake IMO.

Update: I'll be painting the wheels, sway bars, and valve covers early next week. It won't make a huge difference, but it'll make enough of one for a low cost. I'll post pics up before, during, and after. I'm still undecided on wheel color (vote here), but the valve covers and sway bars are going to be bronze.

As far as the paint job, I was talking to my friend who's going to be painting it, and he said he could spray clear with metal-flake over the carbon fiber, so I think I'm going to do that; that way, even the carbon fiber has metal-flake in it ... obviously it's going to be light metal flake on the carbon fiber, but it should still help tie the whole paint scheme together.

Okay, I decided on semi-flat black. I may or may not clear them, depending on how the black looks without it. Pics once the color's laid down (I'm doing two wheels at a time (only have 2 jack stands) and the first two are just about ready for color).
