Scott's Ek Build: Shaved and Tucked
when i got my AGXs and eibach sportline springs, the springs came with a guide that said how much needed to be cut off the bump stops. So I would wait till you get the springs and see if it comes with anything. If not, I ended cutting about an inch off of mine.
Ground Controls came today! Yay! Put them over the shocks when I got home from work. For some reason I only got 6 small and 6 large O rings, instead of 8 of each. So I ran to advanced and lucky me, they had 2 large matching orings left. Perfect, so I put them all on, coils are mounted. Here's some pics:
Just out of the box:

Alright, question time. Should I use the bump stop the shocks came with? Or cut the stock ones? The bump stops that came with the shocks have 3 sections so I can't really cut them in half like the sheet says. Also, the 1.5" I keep is off the dust cover that the shocks came with, correct? The front didn't come with any covers.

And here's my pile of spring break goodness:

Only suspension I am waiting for is the bolts he forgot which should be here by Tuesday, and the Blox LCA which come in Monday, then I'm good to go!
Over spring break I have some plans of stuff I wanna do (make some accomplishments for once), so here's the plans:
-Coilovers (Probably doing that the first day off lol)
-Paint my completely shaved valve cover gold
-Paint my strut bar gold
-Clear coat my header/cure/install
-Lash my valves, super noisy
-Finish converting top half of interior to black
~ Driver side visor is only piece left to wrap
~ Paint A, B, and C pillar plastic black
- Go to the junkyard and find some good stuff!
~ Might buy a d16z6 just for *****, I want something to take apart so I can learn more. I'll probably just like cut the timing belt and tell them it's probably a bad motor so they don't charge much.
Also, my friend bought an 87 Camaro that he's building with my help, so I'll be busy all break.
Keep checkin back for updates!

Alright, the last of my stuff came today. Blox gold LCA came. I've got some pics. Also, I grabbed an Si spoiler off a kid at school, if I keep this one I'll have it professionaly painted as well as new bumpers and a small rust patch starting on rear qp. I've got a hookup at the body shop so it should be pretty cheap. Now I say if I keep the spoiler because it has a big crack. If I don't keep this one, I'll get a different one, I love the look of them. So take a look at the pics of the spoiler and tell me if it's worth it. I'd give him $20 if I keep it. I'm probably going to swing by the body shop with it and see what they say, only way I see fixing it is fiberglassing it. And if it is expensive to fiberglass I'll get a different one. Take a look.
The LCAs, look silver but are gold:

My stuff to do over spring break (header is currently in the garage, clear coated it, just letting it dry):

And here's the pics of the spoiler:

May also do a 1.5 hr drive each way over break for a trade. Trade my Skunk2 springs for an oem front bumper, ls throttle body, and like $50.

I would not get the spoiler, unless you know someone who can do a good job on the cheap. Shouldn't you be able to pick up a SI spoiler for like $100 or so?
Edit: Oh and BTW.... don't update this thread until the car is slammed... k?thxbai!
Edit #2: ^ j/k... when are you going to fix-up a valve cover that like for me? Like I said before, I'll pay you for it.

Yah i agree with cv...that spoiler is cracked beyond repair (or it wont be cheap to fix anyway) if you can get one for 40 DO IT! and that thing will look BA when u get that suspension on it
how much lower will it be? didnt see that sory.

They are coilovers so I can go from .5-3.5" drop. I will probably end up going 2.5", slammed that I will scrap and will tuck the top of my steelies, but my whole bumper won't be ripped off. Yay.
Ah that'll be sweet tho...eventually i wanna do a simple drop nothing big just maybe 2 or 2.5" at the lowest. U sticking with the green, purple combo or switching to gold now? noticed u wanna paint that vc gold and ur LCA's are gold to. Was jc haha im undecided on the black or goldish bronze for my hx wheels.
