Yeah, for the crank.

How long untill you throw the turbo on?
im guessing as soon as break in period is over with?
will you be doing the tunning yourself?
Im hoping to pick up a hondata s300 sometime soon. should be fun lol

Oh for the crank my specs ended up being just a little over Honda's specs, which I'm okay with. Looser is better for d16y's, so mine are right above spec.

As for the turbo... once I get one I guess. I've been piecing the kit together as I find deals, I just need to suck it up and spend the money.

I'm not going to touch any tuning myself, going to let the people who know what they are doing do it. I'm probably taking mine to the legendary King Motorsports for tuining, their tuner isn't some crazy amazing tuner like at Church or Speedfactory, but still does a good job and is kind of conservative so they don't blow up. Friend at work is getting his ap2 tuned there, hytech header, hytech high flow cat, k&n intake, full titanium exhaust, his is setup for his autox class.

^i actually stayed with the stock flywheel, which I wish I wouldve swapped it out. but once I find another trans and get an lsd ill swap out the flywheel when I swap out the trans. If personally go with the 12 lb comp when I do. My friend has the same comp stage 4 with the comp 12 lb flywheel on his b18c5 em1 and it's a lot better with the flywheel.

Haven't updated this in a long time. My civics on the back burner right now. I've put just over 2k miles on the engine. I'm in the market for a new car. I will keep the civic, fix the head, build a budget drag car out of it. Buttttttt hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have a new car. I'm going to be buying.....

An Evo!

My insurance will be stupid cheap on one, not a lot more than on my civic. I'll put have down cash and take a loan on the rest. I almost bought an 06 with 85k and a smoked exedy twin disc clutch for 15k that was tuned making like 320 awhp, but to smoke a twin disc you either suck at stick or beat the **** out of it. And evo drivetrain is not cheap. So the one I'm going to be looking at this week is an 05 with 23k miles that he wants 22k obo, so I could get it for 20k.

My evo of choice is;
Mainly stock
Wicked white (main priority)
Lower miles
Must have the wing
Preferably an evo 9

But the 05 meets most the criteria, I'm not buying an evo to make a monster of a car. Get am exhaust, some ams goodies and have it reflashed at ams. Nothing crazy fast. But I have the whole look figured out. I want wicked white so I can do a contrast with a carbon fiber hood and trunk. I will also get the roof diffuser in carbon fiber, and enkei rpf1's preferably have them painted lime green. The 05 is a little more than I'd like to spend but I'm willing to spend a little extra for a low mile evo that has only had 5k miles put on in 4 years, so it's had an easier life than most.

Been thinking the past few hours and I think I might part my civic out this evo. I know I'm not going to want to drive my civic anymore once I get the evo. And parting my car out would net me probably 4-5k. I can always come back to a civic in a few years once the evo is paid off. And I'd rather buy myself a snap on box this year, so selling my car would pay for that. I've got a lot of thinking to do. Buying an evo would mean I couldn't afford to move out of my parents house for a few years... I turn 20 this Wednesday. So I'd probably be 23 when I'd have the car paid off.

eh, we would all like and Evo, wouldn't we? But personally, I would rather be able to live on my own and drive a civic for a few more years until I could get a job that would support both living on my own AND buying a nicer car.

Besides all that, I'd rather have an STi.

**** subarus. I hate them. Evo > Sti all day. Subarus are so common, and so cheap, and I dislike boxers.

My job kinda sucks, I don't like my dealership. Treated pretty crappy by management and don't make **** for money. I plan on leaving it in a few years and going to a different dealership for more money.

As of right now I have it real easy at my house. I get along with my parents fine, have all the freedoms I could ask for, garage space to use for working, I really can't complain. So I'm in no big rush to get out of here, and my parents are the same way towards me. Hopefully in 3 years I'll be at a better dealer and have a nice down payment saved up for a house. But I really want to get myself a NICE car, I've got a LOT of money for being 20, been working since I was 15 and I always saved my money, so I have a lot put away.

Just got an email back from the guy with the white 05 with 23k miles, just offered him 19k so see what happens.

My runner up if that falls through is an 06 Mr that is charcoal grey, looks sweet. Has 68k on it and is 21k. Emailed him this morning and still waiting on a reply or phone call. Wish people would just put their phone number on the ad.

When I pick one up, I'm going to take video of my car running and driving with the y8. Then go on an insane destructive driving session and beat the complete **** out of my engine, then start pulling stuff off to sell. Most likely try and source stock lower control arms and struts, put my si spring on em, and then try and sell my rolling shell. Sell off all my suspension, engine, all 3 of my trannys, shoud get me 4-5k. We shall see what happens! This white Evo 8 would be a nice birthday present to myself .

Guy with the white Evo said he'd take 19k, just waiting on him to tell me what hp/tq it made. It has the upgraded HTA green turbo (capable of 500+ hp) and a bunch of other mods. Everything on it is quality, which I like. Has a set of $1800 Buddy Club coilovers on it... but the deciding factor is where he got it tuned and how hard he is pushing it. Granted it has 23k miles on it, but I don't want somebody's 500 hp Evo. If it is tuned to under 400 I am going to buy it. Race car Evo stuff.
