Probably won't have money to upgrade that for a while... spent a lot on my clutch/flywheel. Bought solid shifter bushings from AMS, clutch is being done this Sunday. Hopefully I can get it done in the whole day. Next up on my to do list is to take it to a body shop by me, just talked to them today. They did super good work and just got done with my friends Shelby Daytona. The previous owner was in an accident witht he car a few years back, had some body panels replaced and the stock original bumper was resprayed, all the parts look good and paint matches, except on the bumper theres a like 3" wide span of runs in the paint. Body shop is going to respray that part and blend it for about $300, I really want it fixed. It bothers me a lot. I bought a carbon fiber spark plug cover off a guy on evom.net, got it for cheap. Then after my bumper fix I will begin saving for my tune at AMS.

I'm thinking about spraying painting my stock wheels soon...I just need to get myself okay with spray painting a mint set of stock wheels. I don't feel like paying to have them professionally powdercoated or painted.

Eh, their spray paint colors suck. And I'm not trying to spend like $70 on a gallon of monster green.

Well when it comes to the Civic, this thread is over. It is sold, guy picks it up tomorrow. Sold it for $4500, I'm happy with that. Out of my hair and don't have to worry about it. I tell you what, it is really wierd to be getting rid of a car I am known for, and seeing where it started and how much I did. It kinga makes me sad to see it go, for how much work I put in to it, all I've done, and for it to be completely gone tomorrow. I do know the person who is buying it so I'll still see it around. But for having it for 3 years, starting bone stock, idk it just is hard (sounds like I lost a family member or something), amazing how much one can get attached to a car. But I've got the Evo, so alll is fine. No need to keep the Civic, put the money towards cams for the Evo and a shiny new Snap On box for work.

...and another one bites the dust. I remember when Forty left us for the Subie crowd...

But hell, I can't blame you guys. If I could afford an Evo or an Sti, I'd be all over it. Now I'm just stuck pondering whether I should get an Ep3 or a 4-door dc teg, because thats all thats really in my budget haha

YOU SUCK!

Banning begins tomorrow for anyone without a Civic still on this forum. Except any admin/mod who is higher than me of course. First up, Scott.

If I could get an EVO or something like that, I would be ditching the Civic ASAP and moving right along. Money problems of course prevent me from doing this.

Congrats on the sale! I'm not going to lie, I miss my Honda quite a bit. It's too easy to forget all the hiccups the car had once it's gone.

I took it for the last drive today, and as fun as the evo is I am going to really miss the civic. I loved the way it drove, shifted, was awesome. Maybe I'll look for another civic for a winter beater or a Tacoma. But my only regret I know I'll have is never boosting it and seeing how much my engine I built could've held. But, I'll just make my evo stupid fast and make myself happy. Cams, injectors, and an AMS tune to 400 in spring. I'll be satisfied for now, once it's paid off in 3 years I'm going to build it and go 2.3L stroker, maybe buy another as a dd lol and make mine now a race car. Who knows.

Oh snap :O

Buying my Civic back on Friday. Sold the Evo few months back, started school at an insanely expensive college (Milwauke School of Engineering), being a tech at a dealership isn't cutting it. Guy who bought my Civic wanted to buy a truck so I made him an offer on the car so it is coming back to my posession. Now I can finally finish this thing and do what I wanted to all along.

Tentative plan thus far:
-Sell the gsr swap I have sitting in my garage... long story short I parted out a 4 dr gsr, was going to sleeve this gsr and build a 500 hp street monster...
-Pull the head off the y8, get titanium retainers, and a valve job since I never did
-Do a compression test and see how my rings are doing, the owner put about 5k miles on it, so the built motor has a total of like 7k miles on it
-Car will be getting a full respray, has some rust on the rear quarter under the paint that I want gone... I have 2 color choices:
1. Championship white car, green wheels, green cage, green engine bay
2. Phoenix yellow car, haven't decided on the color of the rest, either a metallic blue or purple
-Most likely picking up a bolt in cage this weekend as long as it is all good, 4 point with door bars
-Slap a big ol turbo on this thing and see what it can do... 3-400 to wheels should be good. Probably go with a top mount manifold unless I can find a forward facing for a good price, d series ones are hard to come by.

lmfao, NO WAY!! and you plan on keeping it D-series? This may quickly become one of my favorite builds. I'm considering getting a ek sedan if I can't find a clean GSR sedan or wagovan when I finally have the cash laying around.

Was it pretty fun driving an evo for a few months? Oh, and what happened with the GSR build? Why'd you scrap it and buy the civic back? Just curious...
