I tried a different e-mail address, but have not yet received notification of the change. I'll update if I receive it eventually. I think HCF is trying to get rid of me.

And I am not having any problems getting e-mail notifications from other forums.

 

Still no e-mail alerts specifically from HCF, but not sure more can be done on the HCF side?

 

The mystery deepens. I am now absent from the Members List and the custom text below my user name has defaulted to Senior Member. I am also now unable to change this text. Is this possibly related to my e-mail alert problem? Help me HCF staff! This is what I get for arguing with the staff.

okay for some reason you were listed in the awaiting email confirmation usergroup i put you back into the recognized member one.

 

^That happens whenever someone tries to change their e-mail address in their forum settings but does not receive the e-mail confirmation.

 

Thanks Trust. I'll try changing my e-mail address again to see whether I receive a notification this time.

 

By the way... I have found that certain e-mail addresses will not work with the forum software. For example, my @cfl.rr.com e-mail address will not receive HCF e-mails for some reason, not even in the junk folder. As a result I have to use my gmail account as my e-mail for the forum. I have the same problem on Honda-Tech. Yahoo email accounts (that's what I had before switching to gmail) also work just fine.

But actually, I just realized that when that happens (you don't receive the e-mail confirmation after updating your e-mail address), you can't post anymore until you confirm it. So that couldn't have been what happened since you were still able to post.
