Default a "quiet" header /cat back recommendation

I have "maybe" a unique question.
2004 EX Coupe and want to put headers /cat-back but don't want the "ricey" loud
sound..
I am just looking to improve performance without all the noise..
The car is a daily driver with most of it on the interstate, the other day I needed
to get out of the way and wished I had a few more hps....

I have decided on the Megan header (I live in OK) and the AEM SRI (v2?)

any suggestions appreiciated..

V2 intake is loud....resonators are your friend...look for the smallest gague header....maybe a full custom pipe job to the stock muffler will keep the sound down for you

PM..
I don't just want to wake the neighbors.. :-) with loud exhaust noise..
my nephew has a 98/99 sedan and everytime he goes by my windows vibrate.. :-)

I had a 1989 300Zx that I put a set of headers on and and it made it run better but it did
"get loud" when I really got on it..

So you would not recommend the Megan headers for my application..?

thx again

they make pacesetter headers in varrying gagues they are 50 state legal and inexpensive...check in headers on the summit racing website...the v2 just by itself can make your car sound like it has an exhaust...it made my integra loud as hell...just reg sri would prob be better

Pacesetter was the brand I had on my '89 300Zx, I had them powder coated to keep them from discoloration /rust.

Thx again..

V2 intake, a decent header such as DC Sports or Megan Racing, and if u want quite exhaust...RS*R Mag or some kinda twin loop designed muffler and a large resonator dosnt hurt..

+1 to AEM SRI making a car loud... nice guttural roar when you're on the pedal

There is no such thing as a car with v2 that is not loud...when it was the only upgrade on my car it was louder than most hondas with exhaust...i just wouldnt reccommend it for a car you dont want to have an extremely noticable exhaust note

from what i hear, with a megan header you won't passthe smog tests... if your in cali spend the extra money on a dc or something that is street legal!

After I put my megan racing header on,my exhaust actually got quieter, quite a bit noticeable. I dunno if it's because it's not broken in yet.......but, you can always put a silencer in a fart can it helps a lot but I find chokes a lil bit your performance.
