My g/f has an 02 SI hatch. Im trying to do some research on what I should get her for her birthday. Im thinking ill have around $500. She already asked for a cai from her parents, is a cat-back my best option? If so, does anyone have an opinion on a Magnaflow cat-back? Any help will be appreciated.

 

Magnaflow is a really good brand. I have it on my 02 Civic LX. Sounds wonderful, but it's really about taste. I am assumming that since you mentioned magnaflow you prefer a deeper sound than a louder one. Magnaflow is good but its what your personal preference is. My freind had an 00 Civic EX and he had a greddy. SOunded really loud, but as I said, Can't go wrong with magnaflow. BTW, what intake were you looking at? Oh, and in my opinion, yes, a full set would do the trick, but that's my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth

IMO if your looking for exhaust then YOUTUBE IS YOUR FRIEND!!!!!
search for your car and the exhaust setup your looking at getting! that will help you out HUGE if it sounds like crap to you OR HER.... or if it sounds really nice. and dont just listen to one listen to 2-3 if you can since not all cameras pick up audio that great!

 

I to have magnaflow on my civic and I love the sound not to ricey but it lets you know its not stock either
