Default 02 sensor problem, error p0139

Hey now,

I've read up on the posts about error message p0139, 02 sensor slow response, and still am stranded on what to do.

My recent mod history:

I purchased H/E w/o cat converter, so my ECU told me via an error message. I don't remember what error it was, but it distinctly was described as, "catalytic converter defective"

So, I researched my problem and found out that the o2 simulator, making the ECU believe emissions were okay, was the route for me. I installed the unit exactly as the directions stated and a day later, a new engine light error message, p0139

02 sensor slow response.
I disconnected the unit, maybe thinking the splice-job wasn't perfect, reconnected and still have the problem. So, I'm stuck.

Help! Thanks

Error message for early problem was p0420. This code was replaced, not on purpose obviously, by code 0139.

I popped that in there, pulled the fuse on the ECU and all was good, it's still on there and I haven't had a problem since, been about a year.

did your car get ****ty fuel economy as well? i have the same code and my fuel economy has gone to $hit. I replaced the o2 before the cat and nothing, good mpg for like 3 days and then back to $hit fuel economy.

only engine mod is an AEM Short Ram

thanks
