i would like to know if it's best to go with an aem short ram or cold air for an 02 si. Also, is hydrolocking a big issue on these cars?

And my exhaust question, looking for an exhaust thats deep, and not high pitched. Which would you recommend, apexi n1, hks hi-power, or skunk 2?

My personal experience with cold air/short ram is that with a short ram you have better low end power, with a cold air you seem to get better top end power. As for hydrolocking, it really depends how the weather is where you live. As for the exhaust, I'd say Skunk 2. The N1 was real loud on my friends SI, and the hks is supposed to be pretty loud from what people say.

good choice, i dont know much about buddyclub, but im getting a megan racing cat back exhaust for my hatch.. its got a deep pitch and its not very loud at all, hope this helped ?

+1 for the skunk2 it has a loud but deep tone, and with the silencer in it just a tad louder than stock with a slight rumble. and hydrolocking is only an issue if your driving through like a foot of water

 

I love my magnaflow, it sounds great. More of a domestic sound to it really. But at high rpm (before shifting gears at WOT) it gets a little tinny and or raspy.

 

so will i get more power with a cai than a short ram on an 02 si?

not really. If at all it will be like .1 horsepower.

I dont know about the BC exhaust. IMO... ill let buddy club keep making body kits.
