2006 Civic LX Modpath ?
So here's the deal. I have a 2006 Civic LX as my daily driver and to be honest, i find it scary to pull onto the highway in some situations. It just doesn't have enough pickup to catch up to highway speeds in the space provided.
So I'm looking for the cheapest upgrade path to get this thing to perform better through regular bolt on items. I found a chart once that showed the $$$ invested and into what mods and the whp return.
Does anyone happen to have that chart? I've been searching all morning and can't find it.
thanks

Hey, thanks, but no I'm not looking for dyno plots.
A while ago I found a .xls typle of spread sheet the outlined all the mod paths you could take with the civic and what type of whp gain to expect.
Like the economy mod path gained about 20whp for soemthing like $700. It listed all the mods and costs involved. I found it purly on accident when I was looking for instructions on removing the front bumper for a hella supertone install.
I do slam the pedal...but I watch truck berreling down on me in the rearview... [&o]

you don't need an ecu reflash with bolt ons such as IHE... and believe it or not, you ARE looking for dyno plots; any excel file would have to be generated off a dyno run, assuming its accurate.
ex (for Honda Fit):

for the intake: aem, injen, k&n or ebay tube with an aem dryflow filter
for the exhaust, read the exhaust faq

really...no reflash needed? That's awsome! I come from subaru tuning where the ecu needed a different map for just about every little thing.
Therefore every mod... exhuast intake, headers, everything needed a new boost, fuel, and ignition maps to get ay benefits out of the mods

subarus are powerhouses, civics are not lol.
any little bolt on for a subie will give you like 10HP or more whereas on my 05 civic (d17a1), that's what you get after putting in near a grand of bolt-ons.

you have a stick or manual? if you have a manual, were are you shifting? i don't have too many issues in my 07 ex merging into traffic. granted, i'd like to be up to speed faster, but i haven't had any trouble merging in yet.

i have an 06 civic lx also, but no problems getting up to speed and mine is an auto. Just PUSH the gas it will go fast, not like your subaru but deffinatly fast enough to merge.. if you hit about 4000-5000 rpms you will deffinately get up to speed fast.
