Default 3'' intake pipe, what size filter?

Is this the right size? 2.50''? I know that 3.50 is to big, i orderd it and had to send it back.

CAI ? SRI ?

Measure how much space you have and just goto a parts store and get them to order you in a filter. If it's the wrong size they usually don't care because they'll be able to sell it anyways, and get them to order you another one that will fit. That's what I did for my Ebay brand CAI since I wasn't going to put in the steel screen so called filter.

3.5" is 1/2" over 3". I don't understand your confusion, this is common sense.

The size description of the filter is referring to the hole size where it attaches to the intake piping.

you should have bought a more reputable brand like k&n or aem. But yea if your intake piping is 3" then you should have bought a filter that was 3"...
