So I have a 2005 LX Civic and I bought a Megan header. The problem is, the catalytic converter is ON the exhaust manifold (whereas most cats are under the car after the downpipe right?).

I was thinking of just installing the header without the cat first, then get Midas to install a hi flow cat under the car after the downpipe or something. I asked the manager at Midas and he said even if I did do that it would still not read properly and I wouldn't pass emissions. He said if I did I would have to get some special chip or something.

Any suggestions? Has anyone had this problem before?
