it will be a while before I'll be able to go turbo, but for now; will the ex header, cat, and cat back still fit the stock lx location without modifying? if the d17 is so resistant to mods, what gain should i expect will stainless steel 4-2-1 header, hi-flow cat, and catback exhaust. piping is 2.5" dia.

You DO have to modify it. The 02 sensor is in a different place on ex's. So there is a little bit you have to do for the ex conversion.
