Default 99' Honda Civic EX coupe

Stock engine with manual transmission. Added a V2 cold air intake, DC 4-1 headers, and a sport exhaust. My question is what do i do next to get some more power out of my car???

What motor do you have? If it is D series, you can only really boost it, or swap it in order to get noticeable gains.

You can try throwing a cam in it, then tune it, but the amount you would be spending on the cam and tuning software and the tune itself, it would not be worth the +10-15 hp you will get. Ask me how I know

Do you have any suspension mods? If not, I would look into that next.

you could get a 2nd cam! Dohc>sohc

turbo and tune. call it a day.

Ok if I get an engine swap will the parts (intake, and headers) be comparable with a b series or k series engine? My cousin was trying to tell me to get intake manifold and throttle body but I had heard that's a waste. I do have eibach suspension need to throw some strut bars in it to.

Don't buy anything bolt on for the D series unless you want bling. A bigger throttle body will not change anything since the inlet size on your intake mani hasn't changed. You are only as free-flowing as your most restrictive part.

An intake manifold on a N/a D series will simply shift the power band into the upper RPMS, but I doubt will do anything for you. basically, the car will feel more like a turd until you get to like 6k lol. I had all of that stuff done to my d series plus a camshaft and it was disappointing to say the least and I spent the money on tuning etc.

And no, nothing which you bought for the D series will be compatible with another motor (except the intake... but that is just a pipe)

Figure out how much extra power you want, figure out how much money you have to spend and then go from there.

talk with someone who is really well renown with transmissions. The gearing in a transmission does all the meaning when talking about power. Power from lower gears allows acceleration or if you want torque. Top speed is effected by higher gears such as third and fifth gear.
