Default aem v2 intake vs. aemcold air intake

planning to get cold air intake from aem but not sure aem looks better but more expensive, is the v2 a greater diffrence from regular cold air intake, which one should i get for 92 civic lx? also is it hard to put on by yourself?? cause i dont want to pay a professional to do this job.

you don't need a shop to install it. you only need some wrentches and some time to fiddle around the engine bay. don't waste your money on anything less than the best - get the v2. the dyno results show that its an improvement on the original. aempower.com is the official AEM site: you can find dyno sheets there along with instructions.

bypass valve is overrated. As long as you got your splash guard and fender cover you should be fine.

you cannot get a bypass valve for the V2

ya, you would only need a by pass vavle if you drove in like 7-8 foot of water. seriously. plus, with a bypass vavle, you kill the gains. with the aem v2, the bypass valve isn't compatible

it's more like 18" of water (if you're on stock suspension ) -- on my car at least, I think the design is similar on the 92-95 models.

i have a body kit that has the front grill a little open, can this increase the risk of water flowing into my intake system??
