Default air fuel ratio

someone told me that my k&n short ram typhoon intake is making my car actually slower and not giving it more HP becuaseair fuel ratio isn't right? true? false?

false. your car automatically adjusts to the new intake and it makes it as efficient as possible. don't worry about it.

agreed, thats the whole point to the computer ando2 sensors, is to make adjustments in the amount of fuel that goes in to match the amount of air.. if your getting more air, then more fuel goes in, and you go faster.

you dont if you have a lead foot while you drive. If you take it easy you'll get a little bit better mileage

a new air filter on your intake doesnt make your car use more fuel.....the only way your car actually puts out more fuel is messing with teh ECU or the fuel system itself. Your original statement is completley false. K&N Air Filters will give you NOTHING but positive, go for it.

better MPG (a little), better sound, better performance, better looks. Period. I would really like to roundhouse kick your friend that said your intake filter affects your air/fuel ratio.

BTW an aftermarkte intake is a very common first mod to your engine so i would highly reccommend it
