yeah i know, i dont want LOUD haha, i want a suttle clean loud at high rpms.

Man so a DC header, ex cat, and flanges on the header/exhaust to the cat and im good. or should i just get it welded on, might as well since i Don't want the loud, but what if i get a new catback exhaust though i'd have to cut re weld right?

I think the best thing to do is cut the exhaust and move the flange 16.25", thus making your exhaust essentially an EX exhaust, then fill in that 16.25" gap between the header and exhaust with an EX catalytic converter. That way everything is bolt on from there on out if you ever decide to change anything.

sounds like a great idea, hopefully i can get my car tomorrow so i can start working on it again since it get crunched on the side, ugh. but anyways where do i start the measuring from on the DX exhaust catback? so i can make that 16.25" cut for the header<cat>exhaust

measure from where the downpipe meets the main part of the exhaust... that flange pretty much right below the steering rack.

4-1 helps out in high RPMs, 4-2-1 helps more in the low to midrange area. 4-2-1 is much more useful in a daily driven car.

Get the 1-piece though, you don't have to worry about the midway flange gasket blowing.
