AEM has always been one of my favorite intake companies, along with Injen and HKS. I had a HKS on my Supra, it was awesome.

The cold air is definitely better than the short ram. A buddy had a 2001 GSR with a no-name 2 piece cold air and went through some standing water (his car was inches from the ground) and got scared. He took the lower pipe off and made it a short ram and we noticed a definite loss in power.

He now has a '96 GSR and simply used a $30 Ebay cold air with an AEM filter and says it works fine. He wants me to do thatwith my Civic but I'm just really considering buying the AEM.

If you do go with the cheap intake/nice filter route, don't buy a 2 piece, they're crap. Spend the extra money and get a 1 piece
