Default How to install AEM cold air intake

I just got an AEM cold air intake off of ebay for my 99 civic ex coupe. It was used and did not come with instructions. It looks pretty straightforward except I don't know what to do with the three wires (sensors?) that plug into the stock intake near the plenum. Anyone with experience in this field that can help me out is much appreciated (pics would help). Nothing on the forums really provided step by step instructions and I Googled but could not find a link to the instructions (though I'm not sure if I want them because I read on another thread that they say you need to drain a gallon of coolant?!?!?)

Default RE: How to install AEM cold air intake

Ok here u go how to install a CAI:

Step 1: Remove your front bumper and center grill
also remove the front half of the passenger side fender well.

Step 2: Remove sensor and tube to the intake tube from the airbox to the throttle body.

Step 3: Unbolt the airbox from the car there should be 3 or 4 bolts holding the box in and also the lower tube. (10mm socket would be the best way)

Step 4: If u have a front trans mount with ur kit it would be best to put a jack under the tranny. Then replace the mount.

Step 5: Now install the lower tube where the u pipe was for your intake box. Make sure u attach the lower tube to the bracket.

Step 6: now install the upper pipe to the throttle body and the lower tube.

Step 7: Install the air filter. Best bet go get a new airfilter either a K&N or the new AEM air filter.

Step 8: replace ur front bumper and center grill and fender well.

That is how you install a cai intake from stock.
There is no need to drain any coolant.
If you have any questions just ask.
