B16 T/B on D16
Will I be able to use my D16Y8's stock sensors (like the tps) on the throttle bodyfrom a B16 or do I need the sensors from the B16 with it? Also on a side note, anyone know where I can get one for cheaper than $175?

Yeah Im pretty sure your sensors should work. Most of the sensors are the same and the Z6 sensor plugs worked on the H22 so I wouldn't see why the D16 wouldn't work on the B16. Ive noticed that alot of them can be interchanged.
So your wanting to use a B16 TB on your Y8..How big of a difference is it and any noticable gains?

I'm getting an Edelbrock intake manifold with a B16 throttle body because it is 60mm andthe guys over at d-series.orgthink the aftermarket throttle bodys are way to big for my little D. (They are around 65-70) I don't know really what to expect in the way of gains, shouldn't be much until I get a cam and P&P.
Thanks for the help.

In order to get the most gains out of a bigger throttle body you'd really need a bigger intake manifold, bigger cam and higher compression. The intake manifoldinlet should be bigger then the throttle body. Throwing on alarger throttle body willonlyyield a better throttle response, but no real power gains. You don't want to port match due to the reversion of air flow. I was told that it was always better to have the intake manifold inlet should be about 4mm bigger. Take it for what it's worth.

I actually changed my mind about this a few days ago. I'm not going to do this until if/when I rebuild my engine because of the same reasons you are telling me. I'm just going to buy my nitrous kit in about a month or two then see if that is enough power for me, if not then eventually I will get the ***** to pull my engine apart then get an intake manifold with it.
