high comp pistons and forged connecting rods. headers and high flow exhaust. ITBs would be good. most people are just gonna say turbo it seriously

yeah, N/A motors are terribly expensive and hard to make real power with. Sure you can maybe get 75hp with an all-out build, but it'll cost more than it would have if you would've just turbo'd it. And don't even bother claiming the most powerful anything anwhere... no matter how much power you make, there's always someone one step ahead.

But high comp/forged internals, one helluva cam, itb's, etc

not to mention you have one of the worst platforms to start off with. After market support isn't good for hte R series, seriously, i know it'd be cool to say you have a high power N/A engine, but unless you have thousands, it's gonna be a rough road.
