ive been using my megan racing catback for about 2 months, and it's great.
but whenever my car shifts from 1st into 2nd gear and i immediately accelerate hard, the exahust will start to make a buzzing sound
this sound will go away if i let off the gas pedal.
is this normal for the megan racing exhaust?

btw, my car is auto..

 

im not sure but it might be a squeaky hanger or something small

 

hmm...anything else? could it be the exhaust itself?

 

old heat shield bouncing on the new exhaust?

By buzz do you mean like a errr-gameshow-buzzer or a metal-on-metal buzz? please elaborate

 

very hard to explain and describe...i will try to get a video of it tomorrow
but it sounds very ricey, VERY RICEY!

but when it's not making that sound, it sounds super nice!

 

tranny possibly? i've heard those make some gross sounds in first gear.. jason_hann53 can vouch for that

 

Thats the exhaust making the noise.

 

it didnt have this sound until i put on my catback, but i did put on a dc sports header at the same time though...i doubt its from the header, i can hear it from the muffler
and it's a very strange noise...ricey too!

 

i have the same sound on my megan cat back, it is the heat shield. you probly need longer hangers.
