Maybe heat shield, but i will tell you my experience. I am now on my 3rd gasket that goes between their 2 piece header on my 94 teg ls.It makes a horrible fluttering/raspy sound as you accelerate(very embarassing)I dont know if it is their gaskets, or design. First it blew on passanger side and blackened my tranny. Now it has blown twice on driver side and blowing hot exhaust all over my ac compressor. I already ordered a 4-1 header and am getting rid of the megan asap.

do you have a short shifter? I know the linkage will sometimes rub on the exhaust during certain RPMs with aftermarket exhausts

yeah, thanks for the advice
i will look to see if there is a gap
if there isnt, then i will see if it could be the hangers, exactly which hangers could be causing the problem?
the muffler hanger? or the one holding up the pipe?

maybe the one holding up the pipe if so just grease the rubber thing that holds the 2 and see if that helps
